State Police reported this afternoon that 13 year old Allison Burns of Stillwater was located and is safe. Burns was reported missing and was last seen yesterday at approximately 8:30 AM outside her home, she got into a blue Honda CRV, & police beleived that she may have been headed to the Southern Tier, more details are expected to be released shortly.

Governor Kathy Hochul announced the launch of a free hotline for people who test positive for COVID-19 but do not have a health care provider. The hotline, 888-TREAT-NY, was launched by the State Department of Health after reaching an agreement to utilize the Virtual ExpressCare Platform operated by NYC Health + Hospitals. The hotline is available to all New York residents.

Broome County District Attorney Mike Korchak announced that 62-year-old James Sullivan of Vestal pleaded guilty to felony charges of the criminal sexual act and 1st degree sexual abuse. Sullivan admitted that he engaged in sexual conduct with a male child under the age of 11 for a 6 year period, Sullivan will serve 7 years in prison followed by 10 years of post-release supervision, when he is Sentenced in October.

The Norwich DRI Local Planning Committee will be holding a meeting today at 3:30 PM in the Community Room at Commerce Chenango at 15 South Broad Street in Norwich. The LPC will officially vote on the final slate of projects to be recommended for DRI funding and included in Norwich’s Strategic Investment Plan. This meeting is open to the public.
