The Annual Induction Ceremony will be held on Regatta Weekend on Saturday May 25th at 3:00 PM at General Clinton Park in Bainbridge.

State Police arrested 41 year old Thomas Moore of Sanford for Aggravated Family Offense, Criminal Obstruction of Breathing and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Moore is accused of getting into a domestic on which resulted in a victim getting choked in the presence of children.  Moore turned himself in to troopers, he was taken to the Broome County Central Arraignment and Processing.

State Police arrested 27 year old David Baldo of Oneonta for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance & Unlawful Possession of a Marihuana.  Baldo was stopped during a road check on Lower Main Street in the town of Oneonta; Troopers were able to smell marijuana and located a quantity of marijuana and pills.  Baldo was issued appearance tickets returnable to the town of Oneonta Court on April 23, 2019 and released to a sober third party.

22 year old Cheyanne Moore of Norwich pleaded guilty in Chenango County Court to 5th degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.  Moore had been arrested following a raid on her Norwich apartment last December, where police confiscated several narcotics.  Moore faces sentencing at a later date.

State Police located a missing teenager from Sidney in the Oneonta, Davenport area Monday.  15 year old Joseph Riglioni was reported missing on April 17th, he was located Monday evening, & has been returned to his family.

Governor Cuomo signed legislation that bans the sale of single-use plastic bags in New York starting in March 2020. The “Single-use” plastic bags do not degrade, It is estimated that New Yorkers use 23 billion plastic bags annually, and nationwide studies show that approximately 50 percent of single-use plastic bags end up as litter. The Tri-County Seniors are sponsoring a program on Budgeting on a Fixed Income and Internet Security on Today at 5:00 pm in the Smart Community Room at Sidney Public Library. The presenter will be Jim Doig, recently retired CEO of Sidney Federal Credit Union. Following the presentation, Jim will answer financial related questions.
