Lieutenant Governor Brian Benjamin was arrested today following a Federal Investigation. The U.S. Attorney’s office said Benjamin was charged with bribery, honest services wire fraud and falsification of records.

Trout Creek Firefighters responded to a blaze at 9275 State Highway 206 Monday at about 4:00 AM. The house was completely destroyed, nearby structures suffered heat damage, Trout Creek Fire Department received assistance from firefighters from Masonville, Sidney Center, Walton and Sidney Fire Departments, the cause of the fire was accidental and started in the laundry room of the house.

Animal Adventure Park in Harpursville announced that they have named Mike Kerr as the new Director of Parks. Kerr brings decades of experience in the industry, he will work to ensure that all departments of the organization are functioning well together, and that the facility’s guests and animals are being served to standards set forth by both Animal Adventure and their licensing and accrediting organizations.

Friends of Rogers Environmental Education Center is collaborating with Drive Electric Earth Day to host an Electric Vehicle Show & Earth Fair on April 22, 2022, at Rogers Center in Sherburne, Spokesperson Heather Tehan explains:

Tehan said that the Friends of Rogers will have several local energy, educational, environmental, and outdoor groups on hand in the Visitor Center as part of the Earth Fair event on April 22nd. Seasonal hours of the Visitor Center are from 10 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Thursday through Saturday.

State Comptroller Tom DiNapoli announced the results of an audit of the Town of Delhi Highway Department. The Audit claims that Town officials did not accurately maintain employee leave records. Leave balances for the former deputy highway superintendent from 2015 through 2019 were overstated by a total of 362 hours valued at almost $8,000, the former deputy was arrested in September 2020 and charged with grand larceny.
