The Village of Delhi Police Department arrested 18-year-old Zachary Kilmer of Delhi for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, Failure to Signal and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana, following a recent traffic stop. Kilmer was released on appearance tickets returnable to the Delhi Town Court at a later date.

Former Otsego County Board of Representatives chairman James Powers announced his candidacy for New York’s 122nd Assembly District. Powers becomes the 3rd Republican to enter the race, along with Nick Libous and Joe Angelino; Assemblyman Cliff Crouch recently announced that he will not see re-election in November.

New York’s state parks, historic sites, campgrounds, and trails welcomed a record-breaking 77.1 million visits in 2019. The estimated attendance is up nearly three million visits from 2018, an increase of 4 percent.

The Oneonta Common Council will hold their next regular meeting this evening. The meeting will be held in the Council Chamber at City Hall at 7:00 PM.
State Police will be hosting a Child Car Seat Check Event on Today, from 3:00 to 6:00 PM at the Troop C Headquarters on State Route 7. An appointment is necessary, space is limited, and appointments can be made at 561-7495.

The State DEC announced the release of final regulations to implement the Plastic Bag Waste Reduction Act, which goes into effect on March 1st. After a review of the approximately 2,500 comments received during the 60-day public comment period and a public comment hearing, these final regulations will be published in the State Register on February 26th at dec.ny.gov.

Unadilla Village board meets at 6:30 at the Village Firehouse, a public hearing will be held by the Board of Trustees regarding the adoption of Local Law No. 1 for the year 2020, entitled “A Local Law for Flood Damage Prevention “.
