The State Health Department tested 96,359 New Yorkers for COVID 19 Monday, with 1393 new positives reported, the state total since March is over 466,900. Hospitalizations increased again to 705 statewide, there are 158 patients in ICU Beds & 72 are on Ventilators. There were 9 more deaths reported from the Virus Monday, the state death toll was up to 25,536.

Chenango County Public Health announced their latest COVID 19 numbers this morning; they are up to 262 active cases, with 9 active cases & 3 hospitalizations & 100 Active Quarantines. Chenango county reports 7 deaths, 231 recoveries & they have conducted over 30,300 tests since March.

UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital in Norwich today announced that they have re-instated visitor restrictions, following the recent increase in COVID-19 cases in Chenango County and the Southern Tier. The Visitor Restrictions will be at the hospital and all of its off-site locations, with some limited restrictions regarding end of life patients & pediatric care. In addition, all patients, staff, vendors and visitors will continue to be screened upon arrival at any UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital location. Broome County Health Department announced that they have 66 more COVID 19 positive cases Tuesday; they report a total of 1929 cases. They report 82 deaths, 1389 recoveries & 2330 people are being monitored by the Health Department

Broome County Executive Jason Garnar announced Monday that the County has taken a former BC Transit bus, stripped it of its seats & installed a laboratory, and will be going all over the County administering Rapid COVID 19 tests, for county residents exhibiting symptoms of the virus. The Raymond Corporation observed National Manufacturing Day last Friday with more than 2,000 student registrants from around the country during an interactive digital event. U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand is calling for the inclusion of the Restart Act to support live event venues that are struggling to recover after a summer of limited or no operations due to the COVID 19:

Senator Gillibrand said that the Restart Act has wide support on both sides of the Aisle, but there is no timetable currently for the next Relief Bill to pass the Legislature & get signed by the President.

State Senator Jim Seward & local officials gathered Monday to dedicate a part of State Route 205 in the town of Hartwick to Sergeant John Kempe Winslow of Hartwick. Winslow was killed in the line of duty in July of 1969 in Vietnam, he was 22 years old.
