Governor Cuomo held a COVID 19 update today in New York City; he said that July 4th gatherings upstate are increasing COVID numbers:

The state had 811 new cases of the virus Wednesday, bringing the state total to 409,697, the number who died from the virus, was 13, bringing the state death toll to 25,081, the number hospitalized dropped to 706 statewide.

Oneonta police arrested 40 year old Brian Boore of Oneonta for 1st & 2nd degree Assault, for allegedly stabbing another person Tuesday. The victim was taken to Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown, Boore was located a short distance away from the scene, the investigation is continuing.

The Oneonta Police Department is investigating a series of slashed tires Sunday night into Monday morning in the City’s East End. Police are using surveillance video to try to determine the suspect. Anyone with information is asked to call Oneonta Police at 432-1111.

The New York State Department of Health and Delaware County Public Health are investigating reports of potential COVID-19 exposures associated with those who attended Walton First Baptist Church, 55 Townsend St in Walton, NY on Sunday, July 12th. People that attended church on July 12th, 2020 or a church function on the night of July 12th should immediately self-isolate and call Delaware County Public Health at 607-832-5200.

The Delaware County Board of Supervisors met in person in Delhi Wednesday for the first time in several months because of the COVID 19 pandemic & state requirements that followed. The board accepted federal grants for COVID-19 relief for the County Office for the Aging.

Chenango County Public Health announced their latest COVID 19 statistics today, they report 191 confirmed cases, and 130 Active Quarantines, no Hospitalizations, 168 Recoveries, 7 deaths & over 14,900 Tests have been performed.

The Broome County Health Department announced that they are up to 882 positive cases of COVID 19, with 63 deaths, 684 recoveries and 602 are being monitored by the Health Department.

The Afton Fair Board announced that even though there is no fair at the Fairgrounds this year, those who love Fair Food will be able to buy it later this month, Board Spokesperson Rhonda Barriger explains:
