The State Department of Health continues to encourage New Yorkers over the age of 6 months to receive the new COVID-19 vaccine as respiratory illness season begins. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced that adults ages 65 and older and those who are moderately or severely immunocompromised should receive a second dose of the 2024-2025 COVID-19 vaccine six months after their first dose. In response to the local State of Emergency Declaration issued by the County of Otsego on October 28, 2024, the County has chosen to extend the local Emergency Orders for an additional 5 day period, beginning today until November 12, at 12:00 PM. The Order follows the issue of dry conditions & low water levels that creates a public safety hazard of wildfires spreading out of control quickly.

Re-Elected Assemblyman Joe Angelino of Norwich will be representing the new 121st District in the Assembly, he told WCDO News about the changes from his previous 122nd district:

Angelino said that he is still part of only a small number of Assembly members with a Law Enforcement background, after serving for 30 years in the Norwich Police Department, rising to chief, he currently still works part time for the Sherburne Police Deportment.
