State Police responded Wednesday to a report of a serious SUV Rollover crash in the town of Plainfield. Troopers reported that the SUV struck an embankment and partially overturned, a 3 year-old female died from injuries sustained in the crash, 2 adults & 4 children were taken to a Utica area hospital, all of the occupants were from Rome & are not being identified at this time, The crash remains under investigation.

The Friends of the Oneonta Theatre announced the start of the stabilization and revitalization of the Oneonta Theatre on Chestnut Street in Downtown Oneonta. Former Theater Manager Tom Cormier is assisting with the transformation, more information will be available at oneontatheatre.org.

State Police conducted an Underage Drinking Initiative throughout Chenango County Tuesday and all businesses checked were in compliance. Some of the businesses that followed the state’s laws were B&W Wines & Liquors, of Bainbridge, Mirabito’s in Bainbridge & Afton, & Snake Bite Liquors in Afton. During the initiative, retail establishments are checked using a trooper in plain clothes and one or several underage operative(s) who, if asked, cannot lie about their age or give a fake date of birth. When asked for their ID they must show their real New York State ID.

Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies observed a vehicle traveling at 57 mph while in a posted 30 mph speed zone Sunday. Deputies identified the driver as 21 year-old Nicholas Wanamaker of Maybrook, a check of Wanamaker’s driver’s license revealed that his driving privileges were suspended in the State of New York. Deputies arrested Wanamaker for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle, and Speeding, Wanamaker released and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Colchester Court at a later date,
