The Defense & The Prosecution finished up their cases in the trial of Former Colonial Restaurant Owners Yaron Kweller & Jordan Rindgen today in Binghamton. Kweller is charged with criminal sexual abuse and rape, Rindgen is charged with criminal sex act and unlawfully dealing with a child. Closing arguments will start tomorrow morning in Broome County Court.

Binghamton University announced that they have canceled all of today’s classes due to an ongoing investigation. Officials issued an emergency message to students shortly before 9:00 This morning, as Campus Police were actively investigating an incident near the Bartle Library Tower. Officials issued a second alert canceling about a half an hour later canceling all classes. More information will be released later today.

State Police announced that no arrests were made during an Underage Drinking Initiative in Troop “C” in Otsego County on Friday October 27th. During the initiative, 13 businesses were checked. All 13 were in compliance and did not sell alcohol to an under-aged operative. During the Initiative, retail establishments are checked using a trooper in plain clothes and one or several underage operatives who cannot lie about their age or give a fake date of birth. When asked for ID, they must show their real ID.

Lambrecht Auction will have a Grand Opening Celebration at their new Sidney Facility, on Delaware Avenue on Friday, Owner Jared Lambrecht visited WCDO this morning & stated that the day has been also set up to raise money for the Sidney Emergency squad:

The Delaware County Chamber of Commerce annual Toys for Tots Campaign will be launched in the coming weeks, to collect toys for the children of economically challenged families in Delaware County, Chamber President Ray Pucci explains:

The Broome County District Attorney’s Office says 49-year-old Hasaan Coston was sentenced to 12 years in New York State prison after being found guilty of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance and other related drug charges. The Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task force executed 2 search warrants Coston was found in possession cocaine, crack cocaine, baggies, a scale, and $1,200 from suspected drug sales.

Oneonta Police Department were investigating a noise complaint in the area of Spruce Street and Myrtle Avenue in the City of Oneonta, While investigating, officers heard what sounded like discharging a firearm. Officers were assisted by State Police, and State University Police, a search was conducted, they found no evidence of a firearms discharge. The investigation is ongoing, Anyone with additional information should call the Oneonta Police Department at (607) 432-1111.

Broome County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Binghamton man following a fight with staff and customers at a restaurant & with Deputies during and after his arrest Sunday. 25 year old Hamail Waddell of Binghamton was placed in the patrol car, he began kicking the car doors and repeatedly striking his head against the car window, he was transported to the Broome County Sheriff’s office for processing, he kicked a door handle off, he was transported to Wilson Hospital for evaluation, where he verbally abused patients & staff, he was sedated & treated and returned to Central Arraignment & was charged with Criminal Mischief, Obstructing Governmental Administration, Disorderly Conduct, & Harassment, he was still in custidy Sunday night.
