State Comptroller Tom DiNapoli released a report regarding the City of Norwich’s adopted budget for the 2021 fiscal year. The review found that officials adequately assessed the impact of the pandemic on financial operations while developing estimates for significant revenues and expenditures in the 2021 adopted budget. A Key Recommendation, City officials should carefully monitor their budget to actual revenues and expenditures and make amendments to the budget as needed throughout the year.

Hartwick College announced today that the campus will remain closed to the public through the summer of 2021. The campus has been closed to the public since late summer of 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The State Department of Transportation has begun the $16 million project to replace the bridge carrying U.S. Route 11 (Front Street) over Interstate 81 in the Town of Dickinson. The project will also construct roundabouts at two intersections along U.S. Route 11 and upgrade a third with new traffic signals. The estimated completion date of the project is fall of 2022.
