Governor Cuomo held his daily Coronavirus briefing in Albany today, he was asked about when schools might re-open:

The State now has 308,000 cases of the Coronavirus, 18,610 have died, hospitalizations from remained steady at about 11,600, but the number of patients in ICU on ventilators continues to decline.

Chenango County Public Health announced today that they have 98 confirmed cases of the Coronavirus, with 75 people quarantined, 7 hospitalized, 68 people have recovered & there have been 4 deaths.

The Broome County Health Department announced that they are up to 285 Coronavirus cases, with 22 deaths reported. 241 are quarantined, 172 have recovered.

State Police in Troop āCā remind the public that there has been an increase in the number of reports of counterfeit $100 bills that people have been trying to pass in retail establishments throughout the Troop C area. Troopers have responded to several complaints in February, March and April, Local police agencies have also witnessed an increase in counterfeit bills. Retailers & their employees are advised to contact law enforcement if they suspect that patrons are trying to pass counterfeit bills.

Hospitals all over the state have had to make many changes when the Coronavirus went through New York State in the last 2 months, Chris Kisacky is Vice President of Coordination & Development of UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital in Norwich< she told WCDO News about the changes they’ve had to make:

Kisacky said that the staff at Chenango Memorial Hospital has embraced all of the changes put in place in the last 2 months because of the Coronavirus Pandemic.
Delaware County Public Health is reporting 2 new cases of COVID-19 Thursday & 1 person has been discharged from care, which means there are 11 active cases in the county. To date there have been 72 confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 in Delaware County, with 25 people under mandatory quarantine. 12 confirmed cases have been transferred out of the county. 2 are isolated in a hospital, 9 are recovering at home, 4 people are deceased and 45 have fully recovered.
