The State Department of Health issued guidance today for vaccinating children ages 5 to 11 against COVID 19. The FDA and CDC have approved Pfizer’s child-sized doses of the vaccine, which were found to be 90.7% effective against virus, There is a consent form that parents must fill out before their children can get vaccinated, at coronavirus.health.ny.gov. Sidney Police responded Sunday to a report of a physical altercation involving a weapon in the Fox Street & Circle Drive. Police arrested 35 year old Anthony Albro of Sidney for Menacing & Harrassment, he was arraigned in Village of Sidney Court where & was released to appear in court at a later date.

Delhi Fire was toned for a fire alarm activation in Russel Hall on SUNY Delhi Campus Thursday Morning, Delhi Fire received assistance from Walton, Oneonta, Bovina, Franklin FAST team, the cause if the fire is still under investigation, no injuries were reported.

State Police are investigating a shooting in the town of Conklin, Early Thursday morning. Police responded following the report of a person or persons firing several shots from a dark colored sedan on Barbara Avenue, the shots struck a vehicle and residence, there were no injuries reported. Anyone with information is asked to contact State Police at 775-1241.

The Delaware County Chamber today announced the launched the 2021 Toys for Tots Campaign. This year, participating members have placed toy collection boxes in their businesses, the campaign will run from Monday November 8th until December 3rd, Chamber staff will pick up the toys from member businesses on December 3rd & deliver them to Delaware Opportunities, which has partnered with the Chamber to provide distribution of the gifts to Delaware County families.
