Sidney Police Department arrested 51 year old Michael Theill of Sidney Thursday after they conducted a search warrant at 50 East Main Street. During the execution of the search warrant, officers located a 9mm handgun & methamphetamine, Theill was charged with Criminal Possession Of A Weapon, & Criminal Possession Of Controlled Substance With Intent To Sell & Criminal Nuisance, he was processed and arraigned & was remanded to the Delaware County Jail on $50,000 Bail. Sidney Police Department were assisted by State Police and the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office.

State Police and local law enforcement will conduct special traffic enforcement during Columbus Day weekend to combat speeding and impaired driving. State Police remind motorists to Obey the speed limit, designate a sober driver, or plan for a ride share to get home safely, always wear seat-belts and do not drive distracted. The enforcement details runs through Monday.

Norwich area museums are teaming up Saturday for the annual “Museums & More” event Saturday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Jessica Moquin of the Chenango Historical Society explains:
