The Chenango County Sheriff’s Office responded to Palmatier Road in the Town Greene for a reported missing person Thursday. The Missing person is identified as 17 year old Angel Kocijanski-Pruitt, she is 5’11” tall and weighs 240 pounds with long curly brown hair and blue eyes, she was last seen getting into a small gold colored car, which headed south toward State Highway 79. Deputies reported that Angel did not appear to be distressed & she had her small black dog with her in the car. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office with any information at 334-2000.

Otsego county sheriff’s deputies arrested 36-year-old Delphina Vance of Unadilla on a variety of drug charges, for allegedly possessing over 30 bags of heroin, plus marijuana & drug paraphernalia, and for driving with a suspended license. Vance was arraigned & was remanded to the Otsego County Jail on $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bong pending court action on Monday.

35-year-old Michael Fiocco of the town of Maine was sentenced to 20 years to life in Broome County Court yesterday for the killing of Shannon Laskaris. Fiocco was found guilty of 1st degree manslaughter for the December 2014 death of his girlfriend.

State Police charged 28 year old Adam Youngblood of Binghamton was issued traffic tickets for failing to stop for a school bus, driving on the shoulder and leaving the pavement to pass on the right illegally, when he passed Chenango Forks school bus October 6th. Youngblood turned himself in after seeing the video of his vehicle on TV & Social Media; 15-year-old Alex Menard narrowly missed being hit by the Youngblood vehicle while exiting the school bus on state route 369.

The DCMO BOCES & SUNY Oneonta secondary education will offer 6th & 7th grade boys a free career exploration opportunity called “It’s A Guy Thing” at the Oneonta campus Saturday. 37 year old Rasheen Sanders of Binghamton was found guilty Thursday after a trial in Broome County Court. Sanders was arrested in April in Binghamton by State Police, possessing about $12,000 worth of heroin for sale. Sanders was found guilty of 3 counts of 3rd degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, & tampering with physical evidence. He is expected to be sentenced on December 13th.

The New York State Public Service Commission announced that the price of natural gas and electricity this winter is expected to be lower than the 5-year historical average. A residential customer using 600 kWh per month is expected to pay about $41 per month, or about 14% less than the 5 year average, The average residential customer using 700 therms of natural gas can expect to pay about $693, or about 10% less than the 5-year historical average, The state’s major energy utilities expect to have adequate supplies on hand.

On Saturday at 2:00 PM, the Delaware County Historical Association in Delhi sponsors a reading and book signing by local author Diane Galusha, Who is the author of the newly republished Liquid Assets: A History of New York City’s Water System. “Building the Delaware Tunnels,” will focus on the construction of the East and West Delaware Tunnels that carry water from the Pepacton and Cannonsville Reservoirs to the Rondout Reservoir in Ulster County.
