A man indicted by an Otsego County Grand jury on drug charges, has been arrested in Utica & has been returned to local authorities, Anthony Palladino is accused of selling crack cocaine in Oneonta last summer, he was located in Utica after a warrant was issued for his arrest. Otsego County investigators arrested Palladino at the Utica Police Department; he was arraigned and was remanded to the Otsego County jail on $20,000 bail pending future court action.

State police arrested 47-year-old Vince Mellor of Oneonta for charged with unlawful possession of marijuana & criminal sale of LSD with intent to sell. Also charged was 27-year-old Matthew Bates of Sparrowbush, for criminal possession of a controlled substance, & unlawful possession of marijuana, both face court action shortly.

Oneonta Police have arrested 23-year-old Kevin Baker of Oneonta on charges of 2nd degree burglary, criminal tampering and petty larceny, for allegedly burglarizing a Main Street Apartment. Baker is accused of causing damage and stealing a cell phone and video games, he is faces court action shortly.

Chenango county sheriff’s deputies arrested 55-year-old Ronald Thomas of Bridgeport, New York for 1 count of Criminal Obstruction of Breathing or Blood Circulation and 1 count of endangering the Welfare of a Child. The arrest followed an investigation into a domestic dispute in the town of Norwich, in which Thomas allegedly choked his girlfriend and a 12-year-old family member during an argument. Thomas was arraigned in the Town of Norwich court and remanded to the Chenango County Jail pending court action on July 18th.

50-year-old Michael Defilippo of Deposit was convicted of 3 counts of 2nd degree criminal contempt in Broome County Court. Defilippo violated an order of protections 3 separate times by leaving messages on the unidentified victims call phone, sentencing is scheduled for October 10th

The Chenango County Sheriff’s Office Arrested John Lyons of New Berlin for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated. Lyons was arrested following a traffic stop on State Highway 12 in the Town of Norwich, he was found to have a BAC at 3 times the legal limit. Lyons was processed and issued tickets and released to a sober third party, he faces action in the Town of Norwich court at a later date.
