Governor Cuomo will deliver 2 inaugural addresses Thursday, as he begins his second term in office. Cuomo will speak at noon at 1 World Trade Center in New York City, and then at about 4:30 PM, he is scheduled to deliver a second inaugural address at the Buffalo and Erie County Historical Society. Cuomo and Lieutenant Governor-elect Kathy Hochul will be officially sworn in on New Year’s Eve at the Governor’s Mansion in Albany.

A Chenango county man has been arrested for allegedly driving while impaired by drugs and getting a vehicle stuck in mud in a person’s yard Sunday. Cortland County Sheriff’s Department arrested 50-year-old Timothy Green of McDonough on charges of driving while impaired by drugs, driving an uninspected, uninsured vehicle with improper license plates, & driving without a license. Green was taken to Cortland County Jail on $5,000 cash bail and $10,000 bond pending court action

State Senator Jim Seward will be sworn in for another term in the Senate Thursday at the Otsego County Courthouse in Cooperstown. Senator Seward will be sworn into office for his 15th senate term, Otsego County Sheriff Richard Devlin will also be sworn in for a new term. Supreme Court Justice Michael Coccoma and Otsego County Judge Brian Burns will administer the oath of office. The Ceremony will begin at 1:00 p.m.

Fire destroyed Cole’s Truck Parts on state Route 23 in the town of Davenport Friday afternoon. The fire was reported shortly after noon Friday. All occupants escaped without injury, the fire destroyed Cole’s Truck Parts and Don’s Diesel, where investigators believe the fire started. 11 area fire companies assisted Davenport Firefighters

An Otsego county jury found 2 Kingston men guilty of 1st degree attempted robbery and 4th -degree conspiracy last week. Jury deliberation lasted only 75 minutes, before issuing guilty verdicts on 24 year old Anthony Placido & 25 year old Victor Deleon, both were arrested for trying to rob 2 people at gunpoint in Oneonta on November 14th 2013. Both face sentencing on February 20th
