Congressman Chris Gibson will appear in Oneonta this morning, to meet with veterans at 10:00 AM at the Veteran’s club at 279 Chestnut Street. Congressman Gibson will give an update on veteran’s issues before Congress and take questions.

The Chenango county sheriff’s department arrested 34-year-old Hayes Cutting of Bainbridge on a Parole Warrant & for Resisting Arrest. Cutting was located in Bainbridge, & after deputies informed Him that he was being placed under arrest for Parole Violation for a previous charge of 2nd degree Assault, he attempted to flee the scene on foot. Cutting was taken into custody a short distance away and charged with Resisting arrest. Cutting was remanded to the Chenango County Correctional Facility without bail and will appear at a later date in court for the additional charge.

The Annual Franklin Trek will be making a stop at the Northeast Classic Car Museum today at approximately 1:30pm. The Trek features over 50 vintage Franklin automobiles, made in nearby Syracuse from 1903-1934, on a one-week driving journey to various Central New York highlights.
