State Police investigated an assault, which occurred on Monday afternoon in Hancock. 27-year-old Niki Patire of Fishes Eddy was charged with 1st degree Assault, for allegedly causing a serious injury to her boyfriend with a kitchen knife. Patire was arraigned in the Village of Hancock Court and remanded to the Delaware County Jail without bail.

Fire Fighters from Harpursville, Ouaquaga & Windsor responded to a trailer fire on State Route 79 in Harpursville last night. Fire fighters received the call at around 8:00 PM last night at 794 Route 79, no injuries were reported, the fire is believed to have started after occupants were trying to thaw frozen pipes underneath the trailer.
