8th grader Molly Youngs of Sidney won The Daily Star 2013 Regional Spelling Bee in Oneonta Saturday beating out over 20 other contestants.  Molly told WCDO news that she is a little bit nervous, but is looking forward to her trip to Washington DC to compete in the National Spelling Bee:

Molly and her parents will travel to Washington, D.C., to participate in the Scripps National Spelling Bee on May 28th through May 30th, and it will be televised on ESPN.

The next regular meeting of the Oneonta common council will be held this evening at city hall.  The meeting gets underway at 7:00 in the common council chambers on the 2nd floor.
