46 year old Frank Vail of Oxford was arrested for 4th degree conspiracy, following an investigation by the Chenango County Sheriff’s Department of an incident where Vail is accused of transporting a co-defendant from the Utica area to the Norwich area to sell narcotics. Vail will be appeaing in the Town of Norwich Court at a later date.

The City of Oneonta announced that the department of public service would be paving West Street between ravine parkway and college terrace today. West Street will be closed between the 2 SUNY entrances during the work. Also NYSEG & Cornerstone Property Services plan to reinstall the traffic signal at the intersection of Chestnut Street and West End Avenue today, it has been out of service since the June 12th storm. The Guilford Town Board will hold a special executive session this evening. The meeting will begin at 6:30 PM at the Town Hall at 223 Marble Road; the board will be discussing a contract.
