Chenango county sheriff’s department picked up a fugitive from justice in Connecticut last Wednesday.  41 year old James Keeney of Sidney was wanted on an active arrest warrant issued in Chenango County Court on charges of 3^rd degree Burglary, 3^rd degree Grand Larceny & and Petty Larceny.  Keeney was arraigned and was remanded to the Chenango County Correctional Facility on $50,000 cash bail; he will re-appear in Chenango County court at a later date.

Chenango county sheriffs department arrested 22 year old Neftali Rivera of Norwich on an active arrest warrant issued by the Chenango County Family Court for failure to pay child support.  Rivera was also arrested for Petit Larceny following allegedly stealing a back pack from a Town of Norwich residence. Rivera was turned over to the Chenango County Correctional facility to serve 60 days or until a 500 dollar purge amount was satisfied. Rivera is to re-appear in the Town of Norwich court at a later date.

The Sidney Chamber of Commerce is hosting the Chamber Collaboration Dinner today in The Club House Restaurant at Sidney Golf & Country Club. The event begins at 5:30 with dinner at 6:00 pm.  Members of the Sidney, Bainbridge & Unadilla chambers will be attending.

The Binghamton Senators will be selling 2013 Calder Cup Playoffs first round mini ticket packages beginning this morning at 9:00 AM.  Fans can purchase ticket packages in person at the Binghamton Senators’ executive office at the Broome County Arena or by calling 722-7367.   Season ticket holders who purchased their full playoff packages by the original April 12^th deadline will be able to pick up their playoff packages beginning at 10:00 AM at the Arena.  More information is available at binghamtonsenators.com.
