The City of Oneonta and its Common Council reported that Mayor Richard Miller died Saturday morning at 10:25 AM in his home. Miller served as Mayor of Oneonta since 2009, before that he served as President of Hartwick College in Oneonta. Otsego County Coroner James Hurley’s report stated that Miller died from a self-inflict gun shot wound.

State Police announced that 16 year old Paige Lott-Urich of Endwell has been located in the Binghamton area and in good health. the 16 year old was reported missing since July 16th, she was locate after a flurry of calls & activity following a posting by State Police on their Facebook page.

Chenango County Sheriff’s Department arrested 39 year old Laura Griffin of Bainbridge for driving under the influence of drugs, following a traffic stop for moving violations in the Town of Norwich. Griffin just concluded visitation at the Chenango County Jail, where she was allegedly impaired. Griffin was processed and released to appear in the Town of Norwich Court at a later date.
