The New York Better Business Bureau is warning residents of summer scams, involving discount paving jobs from door to door salesman. Salesmen promise discount paving jobs, begin the process, only to find out they don’t have enough materials, promise to come back, & never return. Consumers are then left with a partial job, when they’ve paid for more. The Bureau said to watch out for anyone who pushes for a quick decision, requires cash only sales, or has an unmarked vehicle with out of state plates. A list of legitimate contractors can be found on bbb.org
