The Otsego County Sheriff’s Office arrested 22 year old Nicholas Harrington of Preston for multiple counts of Burglary, Grand Larceny, & Criminal Possession of Stolen property, Harrington allegedly entered a barn and stole a Can-Am 4 wheeler along with several cans of gas, he was observed loading it in to the bed of a white Dodge pick-up truck that investigators were familiar with as being used in other crimes in Chenango County. On Tuesday, Harrington was located in Morris and taken in to custody on the charges from the Town of Butternuts & on 3 warrants from Chenango County. A search warrant was executed in Morris where stolen items were located, as well as the white pick-up truck, which was stolen from another county. Harrington was being held in the Otsego County Correctional Facility on $10,000 cash bail or $100,000 bond.

35 year old Tadd Sherwood of Oneonta was sentenced to 1 year of incarceration for his part in the theft of $1,368.77 worth of goods from Tractor Supply on August 18, 2023, in the Town of Davenport. Sherwood & Autumn Knapp stole merchandise from the Tractor Supply in Davenport and fled the scene in a Mazda, security camera footage offered positive identifications on the suspects and a license plate from the vehicle. Arrest warrants were issued for the pair, deputies with the Otsego Sheriff’s Department arrested Knapp, State Troopers apprehended Sherwood.

The City of Oneonta will hold a Project Information Session about the Route 23 and Route 28 Complete Streets Project, today from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Neahwa Park Pavilion.
